Tommy was a sober companion to our young adult son about five years ago. Having a sober companion was a tough reality for our son and not something he wanted at the time. Tommy helped ease those tensions by being a calm, steady, supportive companion.
Tommy communicated with us while still guarding our son’s right to privacy. Being a sober companion is tough balancing act at a difficult point in a client’s life. Tommy knows that and is masterful at finding the right way to support people struggling with addiction.
He makes sure to let the client know what he is required to report to others while being both supportive yet firm with the clients; he ensures that the clients feel supported by him while making sure they do the work required to learn what recovery really is and start their new journey. To this day, Tommy is someone our admires and thanks for the significant role he played in his recovery.
